Twilight Summary & Review - Joey Ray

When Bella Swan moves in with her father in Forks, Washington, she realizes Forks isn't as boring as she thought it would be.  She leaves her mom and stepdad behind as they travel for her stepdads baseball career.  She hated the thought of leaving the warm, sunny weather in Phoenix to the rainiest place in the continent.  Though, she felt a slight bit of guilt for not spending time with her father in a while.  When she arrives to Forks High School, she was noticed greatly by many people.  In a small town like Forks, everybody knows everybody.  But her being the daughter of the Chief of Police wasn't the only thing notices about Bella.  She was also noticed for her looks by many guys.  She eventually got involved in a group of usual teenage friends and hung out with them during lunch.  Suddenly, these very pale, but attractive people walked in, and this is when her life changed forever.  In Biology, she realized that her desk partner was one of those pale people.  His name was Edward Cullen.  He stares at her with pure anger through out the class.  Then, he is absent for many days after that.  When he finally returns, Bella is ready to confront him, but he is strangely being polite and acting as if nothing had happened.  He then acts very differently from the other students at Forks High.  He sometimes spoke as if he were from a different time, his skin was ice cold, he was humanly impossibly fast and strong, and he could read peoples minds.  After many theories racing through Bella's head, she knew that he was no ordinary human; he was a Vampire.  But that wasn't the only strange thing about the situation.  After much time spent with Edward, Bella realized that she was in love with him.  He then shows her the highs and lows of being a vampire.  Though, who knows what kind of trouble this could cause in the future?

I highly recommend this book series to all of the readers.  Usually, a story of a girl falling in love with a vampire, would sound pretty cheesy and dull to many people.  But there is something about this story that makes you wish it would never end!  Though I still have not yet finished this book, I am very hooked.  I encourage the readers of this book to watch the movie too.  A lot of times, movies that are based on books might ruin the story to the book fans.  But this is different.  I watched the movie before reading the book.  And I was and am still excited to find the differences in the story.  Mostly, I have noticed that some events from the movie, happen in different settings in the book.  The movie basically gives the gist on what happened in the book.  I am really enjoying reading the book because it is fun to visualize the deleted scenes.  It is like seeing "never before seen" scenes.  It is really enjoyable since I saw how the characters looked in the movie because it helps visualize these scenes even more!  Sure, they give you character appearance descriptions, but the book might not give the best idea.  Anyway once again, I HIGHLY recommend this book to all Twilight fans and people in general.

     Thanks for reading!

P.S. My favorite quote from the book is

"About three things I was absolutely positive.  First, Edward was a vampire.  Second, there was a part of himand I didn't know how potent that part might bethat thirsted for my blood.  And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him." - Bella Swan

  1. I could really tell you are really invested in these books. I've watched a twilight movie before and I found it pretty interesting. Though, I don't think I would read these long series of books.
