Twilight Saga Review

I've decided to post about my Twilight Saga reading experience.  For those who don't know what Twilight is, it is a book series about a girl who falls in love with a vampire.  Sure, it sounds very cheesy and weird.  But, when I saw the movies, I LOVED the storyline.  It was very intense and filled with action.  When I found out that the movies were based on the famous book series, I really wanted to read them.  Honestly, I am not someone who enjoys reading unless it's some sort of SpongeBob comic.  But I figure that if the movies are good, the books are too!  Anyway, I'll stop rambling and get started.  Enjoy!

So since the book begins with a Pre Face, we might as well start the conversation there.  It begins with a sentence that was spoken as the first line in the movie!

"I'd never given much thought to how I would die", two seconds into this story and it's already kinda creepy.  But in a good way :)  So far, it's pretty good.  It starts off slow, but then you read: "The hunter smiled in a friendly way as he sauntered forward to kill me."  Wow... is she okay??  Again, not even 1 minute later, and she's already facing death!  This shows that the story is gooood.  Anyway, stay tuned for chapter 1!

  1. Your introduction was very good, however, the summary of the book was a little short. You could probably add a few more chapters for your review next time.

  2. Joey, I'm so glad you're enjoying Twilight! My mom was always a fan of the book series, but I still have never read the books, I only have watched the movies. I would like to hear more about this chapter though. What characters are introduced? What's your first impression on the writing style?

  3. I love Twilight! I read the books and watched the movies last year, and I loved how engaging the plot was. I think the first book and movie are the best; the plot is the most fresh and surprising, and the newness of the protagonist's relationships makes the book so fun to read. I also love how you wrote this post! Your tone is very casual and friendly, and I think it's amazing how you talked about a plot point that the movie and book both have in common to start the post. Also, I tried reading Midnight Sun last year, and I eventually gave up because I didn't think it was worth it, but this post reminded me how much I adored Twilight :) Your review of the preface was spectacular, good job!

  4. Hi Joey, this is a great start to the Twilight series! I've always watched bits and pieces of the movies but I have never read the books. I think you could include more about the characters and story plot from the book. You could compare the movies with the book too. The summary was a little short, but I'm excited to read more about it!
